The EXEDY Group
More than 50 years ago EXEDY founder Kazuma Adachi decided to devote himself to Japan's fledgling automobile industry and began earnestly working on developing a better clutch. Eventually his efforts bore fruit in the form of clutch discs which would prevent the transfer of noise and vibration from drivetrain equipment.
Those clutch discs came to be used by the world's most prominent automakers, establishing the foundation of the present company.

The D&E buildings of EXEDY's parent company in Japan are equipped with the latest test equipment for evaluating drive mechanisms and an advanced new NV tuning service car has been introduced. Here, engineers extensively test and evaluate the performance of each product. This is also where EXEDY develops products and technologies based on totally new concepts.
About EXEDY Clutch Europe
EXEDY Clutch Europe Ltd opened in 1990 with the objective of supporting both the OE market and the aftermarket. EXEDY are the market leader in our field as OE clutch suppliers to all Japanese car manufacturers. Based in Runcorn England, EXEDY are part of the EXEDY Group of Companies. As well as the whole of Europe, EXEDY also supply North Africa and the Middle East and we would be pleased to hear from any companies who believe that they could distribute our first class parts in their region.

In 1996 we moved to a new 3,000 m2 warehouse, enabling us to hold larger stock levels and improve our supply to the European Aftermarket.
Throughout the 1990's EXEDY supplied the clutch that saw Ferrari to many Formula 1 Grand Prix victories. From the pedigree of this Formula 1 heritage, the EXEDY Racing Clutch Range was born.

EXEDY business includes the development, fabrication, assembly and sale of clutch discs and covers for manual clutches. In addition to a wealth of accumulated technology EXEDY has also pioneered a world-class sports clutch range and a new range for agricultural vehicles.
